THE BALANCE OF POLARITIES

Next week is the Autumn Equinox, falling in the sign of Libra on the 22nd Sept.

Equinoxes are times when the day and night are exactly the same lengths, bringing us to an alchemical moment of balance and awareness.

Libra, traditionally shown as a female figure holding scales in her hand, represents harmony and equilibrium in all aspects of life.

So this is a time when we are all invited to consider how we are dealing with seeming polarities in our lives.

A fast way of hacking your subconscious stories here is to ask –

What do I currently believe is right vs wrong?

Do I think that bad and good exists in the world?

How do I deal with the concepts of light and dark?

Can I embrace my shadow as well as my strengths?

Are my relationships/life/work/health balanced for health?

How are your scales looking now?

Balanced or askew?

Most of us will swing between sides of ‘either/or’ opinions on a moment to moment basis, only finding balance in the rare instances of heightened awareness and consciousness based in unity. I believe that this ongoing rebalancing act is a core part of being human right now as our global civilisation evolves.

We are living through a change of age when polarities of all kinds are coming to the surface to be healed, transformed and rebalanced.

These include our beliefs, stories and social mythologies around our relationships to other human beings, the Earth and environments around us as well as the pulse of evolution itself in our Universe.

Stories of separation, superiority and division are all being thrust in our faces to the point where they can no longer be ignored. In the coming days, months and years, we are being asked to make new choices and create new narratives together that will bring our collective human scales back into balance.

Our economic, social, environmental and philosophical systems need to be harmonised so that they create fertile and vibrant systems where growth aligned to Earth’s evolutionary capacity can take hold.

For too long, we have swung wildly between one extreme and another as human beings.

Perhaps now we have the opportunity to find ‘a middle way’?

One that works for the majority instead of the few.

One that brings us into a new sense of balance personally, collectively and globally?

Of course, this will be unlikely to happen overnight however if COVID has taught us anything in 2020, we can see our world change fast and in unexpected ways.

Where can we begin?

Why not start to contemplate what that place of alchemy in between ‘either/or’ feels like for you.

Start making your decisions from a place of ‘and’.

Me and you

Humans and the Earth

Integrity and love

Worth a try …….?
